The Slovenian government conducted a consultation during the drafting of the National Strategic Roadmap for the Digital Decade in September 2023 and its update in December/January 2025. Both consultation processes were fairly transparent and partially open, but not inclusive.
Mag. Simon Delakorda, an executive director at the Institute for Electronic Participation, presented keynote address entitled Digital humanism: lost in translation? at the 38th Bled eConference. The keynote emphasized the importance of democratic participation, human rights, and inclusive public policy in ensuring that digital transformation serves societal well-being – not just economic growth.

The CODIS 3 project proposal, ‘Co-creating Digital Policies in Slovenia Phase III’, builds on the results and experiences of previous CODIS projects, which aimed to involve civil society organisations and individuals in preparing the national strategic roadmap for the Digital Decade in 2023 and its first update in 2024.
